The Storyline
Soukyuu no Fafner: Behind the Line takes place two years after the events of the Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor – The Beyond movie. The story follows the lives of the remaining members of the Tatsumiya Island community as they try to rebuild and move on from the devastation caused by the Festum attacks. However, their peaceful existence is once again threatened when a new enemy appears, and the pilots of the Fafner mechs are forced to once again fight for the survival of humanity.
The Characters
The anime features a large cast of characters, each with their own unique personalities and struggles. The protagonist, Kazuki Makabe, returns as the pilot of the Fafner Mark Sein, and his relationships with the other characters, including his childhood friend and fellow pilot Soushi Minashiro, are explored in depth. The new characters introduced in the series, such as the young pilot Mariko, provide a fresh perspective on the ongoing conflict.
The Animation The animation in Soukyuu no Fafner: Behind the Line is a combination of 2D and 3D animation, and the mecha battles are particularly impressive. The series features updated designs for the Fafner mechs, which are sleeker and more futuristic than their predecessors. The animation team has done an excellent job of creating a visually stunning anime that is sure to captivate viewers.
The Music
The music in Soukyuu no Fafner: Behind the Line is composed by the renowned composer, Tsuneyoshi Saito, who also composed the music for the previous Soukyuu no Fafner series.
