Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, also known as Puella Magi Madoka Magica, is a Japanese anime television series created by Studio SHAFT. The story follows a group of girls who are offered the opportunity to become magical girls in exchange for granting one wish, however, they soon learn that there is a much darker side to being a magical girl.
The anime series was first aired in 2011 and it was followed by 3 movies in 2012 and 2013 . The movies were labeled as “rebellion story” and it serves as a sequel to the TV series.
